Another Make it Your Way hit. The Italian Pasta Bar. I literally looked through my fridge and cupboards and put everything that looked Italian onto the giant Make It Your Way Board, boiled some noodles and turned it into the most popular do it your way dinner yet. You can use rice or other grains instead of the noodles or just toss it all on top of a big pile of lettuce. Cook the noodles al dente, drain and toss with a bit of Olive Oil. I let the kids assemble a big bowl of ingredients and then in a big wok, I quick fry it all with a bit of Veggie Broth (I make a small pitcher to put next to the stove) and mix in a bit of pasta or pesto sauce and top with cheese or basil. The ultimate Make it Your Way-Italian Pasta. YUM!

A really fun way to let the kids create their own pasta dish. Use a variety of Vegetables, Herbs and Proteins. Lay it all out on a big board and let everyone choose how they want to make their pasta bowls.
Ingredients
- Spaghetti or other pasta shapes (cooked al dente and tossed with a bit of olive oil)
- Zucchini-cut into small moon shapes
- Sun Dried or Fresh Tomatoes
- Broccoli, lightly steamed
- Kale or Spinach
- Pre-Cooked Veggie or Chicken Sausages
- Chicken, cooked and diced
- Peas,
- Olives
- Red or Yellow Peppers, sliced
- Onions or Leeks, sliced
- Artichoke Hearts
- Corn
- Garlic, sliced
- Capers
- Pine Nuts
Toppings:
- Fresh Herbs: Basil or Oregano
- Pesto Sauce
- Red Pasta Sauce
- Olive Oil
- Shaved Parmesan
- Hot Pepper Flakes
Instructions
- Lay all the ingredients on a big board
- Let everyone add ingredients to a big bowl
- Stir fry all the Vegetables and Pasta together in a large Wok or frying pan until heated through
- Top with sauce or olive oil and a shred of parmesan cheese if desired
